Life by Sushma is a beautifully thoughtful book. The theme is excellent, offering deep reflections on our Life and people in it and suggests we live with awareness and purpose. Each chapter touches on a different aspect of life, and the thinking behind them is quite profound. I truly hope Sushma revisits these poems every few years from now and brings out a renewed versions. It deserves to evolve, just like life itself.

The author invites readers into an intimate space of reflection, emotion, and insight. This poetry collection, both soulful and grounded, explores the layered complexities of human experience. The poems are not content with surface answers; instead, they challenge the reader to embrace the unknown and find meaning in both clarity and chaos. The language is lyrical but unpretentious, allowing readers from all walks of life to engage with its themes. There’s a rhythmic balance between light and shadow—between poems that soothe with hope and others that ache with truth.
I found it to be a heartfelt and thought-provoking collection that serves as both mirror and map. It reminds us that the journey of life isn’t about arriving, but about wandering—with awareness, curiosity, and an open heart.

Life by Sushma Krishnan is a compelling collection of poetry that captures the emotional and philosophical depth of human experience. The title itself is inviting—sparking curiosity and prompting readers to reflect on their own life journeys.
Sushma’s voice emerges with clarity and authenticity, transforming her personal reflections into a universal narrative. Through elegant metaphors and lyrical rhymes, she paints a vivid portrait of life as both splendor and blunder—a journey where growth stems from lessons learned. The poems explore how people shape our paths, how past experiences mold us, and how success and failure coexist as teachers.
The collection offers a bird’s-eye view of life’s many facets—love, loss, resilience, and transformation—all presented with emotional honesty and poetic finesse.
Each verse is an invitation to pause, ponder, and connect with one’s inner voice.

A Journey of Emotions, Truths, and Reflections — A Powerful Debut in Verse
It gives me immense joy to celebrate the release of Life: A Question to Ponder and a Journey to Wander, a debut poetry collection by Sushma Krishnan an inspiring storyteller at heart. This book is not just a literary work; it’s a personal journey expressed through raw and relatable poetry, much of it drawn from real-life moments that many of us will deeply connect with.
One poem in particular, “The Difficulty Of Being Honest,” stood out to me as a reflection of the times we live in. In an age where truth is often negotiable and white lies are conveniently justified, this piece serves as a much-needed reminder of the value and cost of honesty. Through simple yet profound language, the poem challenges us to rethink what we’ve been taught, what we observe, and what we accept — a message that feels more important now than ever.
“Day in and day out, we got to see / Honesty in many a degree / Which makes us wonder what’s actually right / Because what we get to see isn’t a pretty sight.”
The strength of this book lies in its authenticity. Each poem feels like a page from her personal diary — vulnerable, courageous, and filled with thoughtful introspection. The themes she explores — identity, resilience, truth, and emotional growth — are universal, yet handled with a voice that is uniquely hers.
For a debut, this book carries surprising emotional depth and wisdom. It’s a collection you’ll want to revisit often — not just to enjoy the rhythm and rhyme, but to reflect on the truths it reveals.
I couldn’t be more proud. Highly recommended for anyone looking for poetry with soul, purpose, and a voice that stays with you long after you turn the last page.

4. An insensitive comment may point to a silver line on the cloud and the writer is pointing to that on which one should ride on .
5. Anjaneya did not know his own strength till he was told . Arjuna , also known as Vijaya had apprehensions and was so indecisive and was on the verge of running away from the battle field .
